Installing Aluminium Commercial Windows and Doors in CT Technology in Chesterfield, Derbyshire

Working in an office space where drafts are coming in through the windows and the heating has to be on full blast to compensate is not much fun. Having to pay costly heating bills that eat into your profit margin month in and month soon makes any CEO question whether to just invest in thermally efficeint windows and doors and work out the payback period!

We were first approached to quote for CT Technology back in June 2024.  The whole of the commercial property was in desperate need of new windows; the windows that were currently in were very dated, draughty and  not energy efficient in any way.  Ian Snow the CEO of CT technology told us that the energy bills were astronomical due to the heating being lost from the commercial building.

CT Technology offers customers a fast and simple approach to Managed Services, Cloud, Cyber Security and Telecoms that will help companies across all sectors achieve their goals using technology.

After  several visits with our Director, Steven Sanderson, we quoted two options for them;  one in uPVC and one in aluminium (Alitherm 400). Just the year before we had installed chamfered anthracite grey uPVC in a large property called Mintdale  (just down the road from CT) Sheepbridge Industrial Estate in Chesterfield.

Ian Snow, The CEO of CT technology went to visit Mintdale to see the installed uPVC commercial installation but decided,  even though it looked really professional, he really preferred the aluminium look.  Several months later, in October 2024, we secured the contract with CT and Steven undertook a huge survey of the property so we could finally get the aluminium commercial glazing installation underway.

Here at Sereco Windows,  perfection is the name of the game,  we source our Alitherm Aluminium 400 windows from a very reputable supplier, whose quality procedures are extremely stringent.

Aluminium Alitherm products have a four week lead time  and due to the size of the project we split the installation into two phases. As you can imagine, storage is an extremely important part of the installation process and a lot of fore thought was given to this aspect. Luckily for us, there were storage units just next door to this large property and we at Sereco Windows managed to hire a couple of these units for storage and disposal throughout the glazing installation.

Smart Alitherm 400 windows are the latest window style from Smart Aluminium. They easily meet all the requirements of the new stringent 2022 Building Regulations. This results in the fact that our Sereco aluminium commercial windows meets all the Building Regulations without expensive glass upgrades (a common issue on other lesser quality aluminium windows).
